My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.

sharelife-logoThe Church marks the 53rd Work Day of Prayer for Vocations, 17 April 2016

The Holy Father has released a Message on “The Church, Mother of Vocations”, which is available on the Vatican website. In his Message, Pope Francis expresses his hope that, “…during the course of this Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, all the baptized may experience the joy of belonging to the Church and rediscover that the Christian vocation, just like every particular vocation, is born from within the People of God, and is a gift of divine mercy. The Church is the house of mercy, and it is the ‘soil’ where vocations take root, mature and bear fruit.”

“The ShareLife campaign provides for the needs of our social service agencies, helps our brothers and sisters in Christ across the world, and supports the education of our clergy. It is important that we continue to support the ShareLife appeal, to provide for the needs of the marginalized both here in our communities and around the world. Regadless of their religious beliefs or personal background, ShareLife agencies meet people where they are, treating them with the dignity and respect we all deserve.”

Thomas Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto
