The sisters of Saint Elisabeth Convent render spiritual, social and financial help to the sick and the suffering who stay at care centers in Minsk, Belarus (the National Psychiatric Clinic and Municipal Hospital as well as boarding homes for children and adults with special needs, a TB clinic and a home care facility for mentally challenged children). To maintain this work of care, workshops and studios were established on the premises of the Convent. Many of the sick have become involved, and together with the sisters with love and prayers, produce beautiful articles: icons, crucifixes, wooden and alabaster crosses, vestments, church goods and other religious items and handcrafted souvenirs. The sisters will be visiting our parish with a display of items to purchase on September 24, 2014 before and after the 9:05 a.m. Mass.
