John 21:12-17

Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” because they knew it was the Lord.  Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. This was now the third time that Jesus appeared to the disciples after he was raised from the dead. When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed my lambs.” A second time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Tend my sheep.”  He said to him the third time, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter felt hurt because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

 The Sacrament of Confirmation

A special thank you to our parish Catechists, Elizabeth Bruce and Lorianne Zeppieri, for their commitment and dedication in preparing our Confirmandi for the Sacrament.

Second ShareLife Collection – April 21, 2013

 Together, we can work WONDERS!

Working wonders for people who are homeless…

While at Matt Talbot we helped Richard reunite with his brother, lost to him through separate adoptions, and deal with his mother’s death, a woman he had mixed feelings about for she was the person who originally committed him to the system as a young child. Today Richard is working odd jobs, drinks rarely and still has his apartment. Still overflowing with teenage-boy energy, although he is approaching 60 and stands 6’ 5”, there’s a calm to Richard that’s new. Some of that calm comes from the processing he did while in the Matt Talbot Program and some comes from us learning when to let go and move people along to their next phase of growth. In Toronto alone, there are at least 1,500 homeless people on any given night. On an annual basis, ShareLife agencies provide food, shelter, guidance, care and counseling to more than 10,000 people in the Greater Toronto Area.

Next Sunday, Apri 21, 2013 is ShareLife Sunday.

Please give generously. You can work wonders!

Each year at the National March for Life, thousands gather to demand protection for children before and after birth.  Last year, almost 20, 000 pro-lifers assembled on Parliament Hill and marched through downtown Ottawa to inform Canadians that we are the only western nation with no protection for the unborn.
